Liezbeth Gottschall of Thistles started designing in 2005, but she has been doing needlework since her childhood. Liezbeth has some favorite subjects like sheep and houses, but the ideas can be prompted by things she encounters during daily life.
She always carries a notebook for short notes and sketches and takes photos of inspiring objects like a small sign or a floor tile.
As a designer using a lot of hand-dyed floss, Liezbeth stitches all her designs herself, selecting the right colors on the go, like painting with threads.
